New members and GMLPF staffing update

  1. This month, GMLPF welcomes three new associate members: Creative Training, Halton YMCA and Southport College.
  • A warm welcome goes to Paul Musa, chief executive of North West Training Council, who joins the GMLPF board of directors.
  • A GMLPF staffing announcement: Joanne Rymer, GMLPF’s operations manager, now takes the reins of several key project areas. Joanne, who managed the hugely successful Badged Apprenticeships programme for the 18 months, is now responsible for:

APLP (Accelerated Programme Led Pathways): a programme for 16-18 year olds who are not yet ready for apprenticeships, but would benefit from short bespoke programmes to develop technical skills. Presently this programme offers retail, motor vehicle, business admin, customer service and early years.

EET Project: working with Connexions, providers and employers to offer opportunities to young people who are 16-18 who are employed without training.

Invest in Change: continuing the work with providers and schools to improve the offer to LLDD young people into employment and apprenticeships.

Please contact Joanne Rymer if you would like to find out more about any of these projects.
