New Runcorn centre for Scientiam

Learning provider, Scientiam, has opened a new centre in Runcorn as part of its ambitious plans to grow across the region. The new Halton premises enable Scientiam to offer its services to employers and young people beyond its base on the Wirral.
An event to mark the Runcorn site’s opening also highlighted the benefits of a training programme offered at the new centre. The programme is designed for 16 to 19 year olds who want a career in retail, customer service or business administration, giving them 14 weeks of specialist training before moving them into work on an apprenticeship.
Scientiam’s managing director, Amanda O’Shea (pictured above with apprentices at the opening event) points out that the initiative benefits local employers as well as young people:
“We can work with companies to put in place work placements during an intensive 14 week training programme which has an option to extend the role to full-time employment and a full apprenticeship.
“The initiative works for both employers and young people because it allows them to get to know each other in a positive training environment, at no cost, with no recruitment fee, before committing to employment.”
Scientiam’s Runcorn office is based in Grosvenor House, Third Avenue, Halton Lea. For more information please call Mandi Rivers on 01928 796399
