Mercia Partnership achieve unionlearn quality award
The Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool was the venue for Mercia Partnership receiving the unionlearn quality award in front of over 100 delegates attending the Linking Communities and the Workplace conference held on the 17th November.
Throughout the country, over 26,000 union learning reps (ULRs) are helping people back into education. Mercia Partnership are now one of 25 education providers who have received the Quality Award in the North West.
The unionlearn Quality Award is awarded to providers in the learning world who are committed to working with trade unions. Awards are made to providers who demonstrate that unions and union learners are considered in the design, development and delivery of courses and programmes.
Andrew Taylor, Managing Director of Mercia Partnership: “We are looking at our partnership with unionlearn growing over the coming months and improving on what we have already achieved. This award is in recognition of the hard work from the staff at Mercia Partnership on programmes including Apprenticeships, Skills for Life and the relationship we have built with PCS and their learners and we are very proud to receive it.”
Dave Eva, Regional Manager for unionlearn in the North West, said: “I am delighted to see this provider receive the unionlearn Quality Award for outstanding work in areas including Apprenticeships and NVQs. It is again an indicator of the terrific work unions and providers can do together for the benefit of members, employers and the regional economy.”
