Work starts on Michael John of Liverpool state-of-the-art academy
Michael John of Liverpool is pleased to announce that work has commenced on its new state-of-the-art academy. The new facility, which is due to open in 2011, is in the heart of Liverpool on Renshaw Street and will include hairdressing salons, beauty therapy salons and a spa.
The salons will see learners training with futuristic resources and equipment in a stunning, streamlined environment. The eagerly-anticipated spa will be the first training facility of its type in the Northwest, heralding Michael John of Liverpool as the first work based learning provider to offer Spa Therapy Apprenticeships and training. The academy’s learning environments will be equipped with premium standard practical resources as well as lecture facilities.
Employers will also be able to use the academy for training and technical updates. They will have access to enterprise pods: hot-desking facilities which will enable them to network with each other, and access business support from Michael John of Liverpool and external organisations such as Business Link. The academy’s conference facilities will be available for hire.
The skills and expertise of the Michael John of Liverpool staff team will continue to underpin the success and achievements of its learners and employers in these new, cutting edge facilities.
The academy is part funded by the Regional Capital Skills Development Project.
