Widespread acclaim for back to nature hair show

Record numbers flocked toTraining Plus merseyside’s (tpm) annual student hair show, which this year celebrated seasons and the environment.
The event, held at Liverpool's Liner Hotel, consisted of four live hair competitions: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. tpm apprentices conjured up an array of original hair designs and costumes from recycled materials, interpreting the theme of environmental sustainability through their models' hair and clothes. The stunning display of creativity was the culmination of three months hard preparation work by the learners who have been expertly guided and supported by tpm tutors and salon mentors.
Guests all agreed that tpm's 2010 hair show has yet again raised the bar for creativity in the hair industry. VIP guest, Maureen Evans Olsen of the National Apprenticeship Service, gave her impressions of the night:
" tpm learners never cease to amaze me with their creativity and skill. The work they produced was phenomenal!"
Christine Valiant of Voodou commented on tpm's ever improving track record:
"The standard of work just seems to get better and better every year".
The evening included the presentation of exceptional achievement awards to students who demonstrated real commitment to progression and achievement. Most Improved Student of the Year went to to Taylor Greenwood from Michael Curtis. Student of the Year 2010 is Lacey Anderson of Voodou, West Derby Road.
The event raised £230 from donations on the door, which will be presented to Liverpool Unites Children's and Young People's Charity.
