A record number of young people attended tpm's annual open day on Friday 30th April.

- hairdressing techniques
- experimenting with hairstyles using computer software
- correct holding of an infant using an interactive doll
- communication skills using telephone training systems
A total of 159 young people from 33 Merseyside school attended to learn about careers in hairdressing, barbering, childcare and business admininstration. Every young person due to leave school this year was scheduled an interview during May when they become eligible for work and training. Employers will benefit from an excellent selection of apprentice candidates on tpm's portfolio this year.
Personal advisor, Julie Zavros from the Connexions service also attended the event, providing independent information, support and guidance for parents and young people. Julie commented that the tpm apprentices facilitating the day were a credit to the company.
