At the Association of Learning Providers annual conference on the 14th July, Skills Minister, John Hayes announced an extension to the use of Key Skills in Apprenticeships frameworks until March 2011.

 

 

GMLPF has uploaded 4 case studies produced by the Liverpool LLDD which outline the progress and experiences of different students who benefitted from links between special schools and learning providers as part of the Liverpool Invest to Change 2009 – 2010 project.

The Department for Education have published a guide to inter-agency working to safeguard and promote the welfare of chidren. The guide is available for free download.

GMLPF are holding Keeping in Touch meetings with YPLA, the Skills Funding Agency and National Apprenticeship Service.

GMLPF is pleased to welcome two new providers who will be delivering its successful pre-Apprenticeships programme. North West Community Services and Knowsley Community College (via Progress Sports) join the 6 other providers who are currently delivering the programme: Alder Training, Asset Training, Aigburth Training Opportunities, Riverside LEC and Sysco.

There is no charge for this service but stock does have a maximum order limit.

 

A new scheme has been launched to recognise businesses who employ apprentices. The Apprenticeship employers badge can be displayed by businesses on their websites to highlight their commitment to Apprenticeships. In return, their logos will then be displayed on the Apprenticeships website.

The Functional Skills proxy for Apprenticeships will remain until 2016 as confirmed in the

Specification of Apprenticeships Standards for England

Corporate facilities for hire at competitive rates in a prime city centre location near Lime Street station. Newly refurbished training suites, meeting rooms and fully equiped ICT suites, each suitable for 15 to 20 delegates.
