GDPR masterclass gets thumbs up from GMLPF members

As part of GMLPF’s ongoing programme of CPD events for its members, two GDPR masterclasses were held on 24th October 2017 – a morning and an afternoon session. The training was sourced via the University of Salford, delivered by a GDPR expert and professional trainer, and consisted of an overview of GDPR legislation and steps to take for compliance. All delegates received a pen drive of documentation and other resources to use within their own organisation.

The masterclasses were principally targeted at GMLPF members but were also open to non-members.

Feedback from the vast majority of attendees was very good as chart shows below.

Some evaluation feedback points that we have noted for future events:

  • Resources provided on pen drive seen as very useful
  • Delegates felt far more informed about GDPR after session
  • 3 delegates felt the session should have been tailored more for training providers – mixing members and non-members at one event not necessarily always appropriate
  • 1 provider would have preferred as a webinar

Special thanks to Myerscough College for providing the venue for the masterclass.
