Liverpool Community College

Liverpool Community College is the only further education college in the City of Liverpool.  Rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, the college delivers education and training for 17,000 students from Liverpool City region.  By delivering different career routes at various levels up to higher education the college provides the local economy with much of its skilled labour. Liverpool Community College, as a member of five National Skills Academies, can respond to the changing needs of employers by delivering programmes that meet sector requirements.  The college also offers Apprenticeships in a wide number of sectors and is continually diversifying.  In December 2011 the college launched the Glaciere Maritime Academy in preparation for the growth and regeneration of the port and related industries.


Liverpool Community College’s Employer Services team help employers identify skill gaps and shortages in their workforce and offer appropriate training solutions.  With sector specialist staff the team understand the changing environment and trends in specific industries.

Specialist sectors

Liverpool Community College has five National Skills Academies.  The academies include: Environmental and Technological; Finance; Bakery and Food Production; Creative and Cultural; and Media.
