LCR Skills Bootcamps funding available

The Government is prioritising the delivery of Skills Bootcamps. They have invested an additional £60 million into the existing initiative and invited providers to tender before the end of February. Locally, the Combined Authority has LCR Skills Bootcamp funding available and wants to raise awareness amongst local providers. GMLPF is holding an online #TAKE30 session on 16 February 2022 at 12.30 pm to provide information about the local opportunities available both now and in the forthcoming financial year.

In its existing DfE contract, the Combined Authority has local funding for LCR Skills Bootcamps in the following sectors:

Digital

Cloud, Computer-Aided Design, Cyber, Data, DevOps, Digital Marketing, Games, Network Design and Engineering, Software Development, Software Engineering, Web.

Technical

Advanced Manufacturing, Design, Electronics & Electrotechnical, Engineering

Green

Green Power, Green Construction & Buildings, Green Transport, Green Business & Industry

The above list is not exhaustive; LCR CA will consider funding additional courses that fit into any of the three categories.

The GMLPF #TAKE30 session will provide an overview of the Skills Bootcamps programme locally, the objectives for LCR CA, and how providers can access the funding.
